Zbigniew, maker

Builds the tools, writes the guides, burns the test grids.

Who I am

I'm Zbigniew, the person behind EngraveBot. I'm a maker, not a laser manufacturer or an engraving celebrity - I got into this the way most people do: with a hobby laser, a photo I wanted on slate, and an evening lost to contradictory forum advice. EngraveBot is my answer to that evening. I build the in-browser tools, I write every guide on this site, and I test the tools on my own files before they ship.

I won't pad this page with credentials I don't have. No claimed decades of experience, no wall of certificates. What I can offer instead is a method you can check for yourself.

How I work: test grids, not folklore

Every material behaves differently on every machine, so the only honest way to publish settings is the boring one: burn a small grid of power/speed combinations on scrap, look at the results, and write down what actually happened. That's the method every guide here teaches, and it's the standard the project holds itself to.

My rule: unverified numbers are never published as fact. Every setting on this site is a clearly-labeled starting point until a real burn on real material proves it. The roadmap is a database of verified settings with photo proof of each burn - and until an entry has that proof, it stays a starting point.

If one of my guides says something your burns contradict, tell me at hello@engravebot.com - corrections make the site better.

Guides I've written

All guides live in the learn section. The tools they reference are free to use in your browser.
