Laser Calculator
The everyday laser math, done right: DPI to line interval, physical size to pixels, speed units, and a rough engrave-time estimate. Exact conversions - no guessed settings, nothing leaves your browser.
DPI ↔ line interval
Line interval = 25.4 ÷ DPI. LightBurn asks for interval (mm); most tools ask for DPI.
Size ↔ pixels
Pixels = mm ÷ 25.4 × DPI. Feed your image at least this wide so the laser isn't upscaling.
Speed units
LightBurn shows mm/s; GRBL / LaserGRBL G-code uses mm/min. mm/min = mm/s × 60.
Engrave time (rough)
Rough scan-time estimate - ignores acceleration, so real burns run longer. Use it to compare settings, not to promise a finish time.
